Along with gas and fuel, milk prices also increased, prices increased by Rs 4 –

Tezzbuzz Desk- With the beginning of the new financial year, milk prices have increased in many cities of Madhya Pradesh. Milk has become costlier by Rs 2 to 4 per liter in many areas including Indore, Bhopal, Ujjain and Jabalpur.

These new rates have come into effect from April 1. In Indore, where earlier loose milk was available at Rs 60 per liter, now its price has increased to Rs 63 per liter. Other cities are also seeing similar growth based on local demand and supply.

Lack of fodder became a major reason in summer

According to Madhya Pradesh Milk Vendors Federation, the biggest reason behind this increase is the shortage of green fodder during the summer season. During this period, the cost of feeding animals increases and milk production also decreases.

Impact of fuel and LPG prices

The increase in milk prices has come at a time when fuel and gas prices have also seen an increase. Commercial LPG cylinders have become expensive from April 1, especially in big cities, their prices have increased significantly.

Aviation fuel prices also rise

Along with this, an increase in the prices of Aviation Turbine Fuel (ATF) has also been recorded. Its rates have increased in metro cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata and Chennai, which is also affecting the airlines sector.

Government’s assurance: No shortage of fuel

Despite the increase in prices, the government has made it clear that there is no shortage of fuel in the country. The supply of petrol and diesel is normal and refineries are working at full capacity. Also, LPG production has also been increased so that the demand can be easily met.

This increase in milk prices is the result of several economic and seasonal factors. The pressure of summer, rising cost of fodder and fuel inflation together are affecting the budget of common people. The price trend in the coming months will depend on weather and supply conditions.
