According to the information, located in Sector 37 Chandigarh, Punjab BJP A loud noise was heard outside the office at around 5 pm. Initial investigation has revealed that a blast took place in a scooter outside the office. This scooty belongs to Harsh who works in BJP office. There are bullet shrapnel marks on the walls from the blast. The glass of a car is also broken.

A video related to the blast outside the BJP office has gone viral. In this video, a person wearing a gamchha can be seen taking out the pin of a hand grenade and throwing it outside the BJP office and running away.

What did SSP Kanwardeep Kaur tell?

SSP Kanwardeep Kaur said, around 5 pm, a sound like an explosion was reported, on which the police reached the spot within 10 minutes. There is a possibility of a crude explosive-like object being thrown. At present the investigation of the case is going on. Teams from Central Forensic Science Laboratory, National Investigation Agency and Crime Branch have also reached the spot and are engaged in investigation.

Punjab BJP leader Vineet Joshi said that a loud noise was heard around 5 pm. He said that some marks have been seen on the wall, but complete information will be revealed only after police investigation. Describing it as a matter of concern, he said that an incident like the blast outside the party office is a serious matter. At present the police is investigating whether this was a mischief or an attempt at some bigger conspiracy.
