Police clamp down on LPG black marketing: 19 cases registered after seizing 461 cylinders
Jaipur. Taking major action under the special campaign against black marketing and irregularities in supply of LPG gas in Police Commissionerate Jaipur, 19 cases have been registered so far and 15 accused have been arrested. A total of 461 gas cylinders have been seized during this period.
Police Commissioner Sachin Mittal said that this campaign is being conducted under the supervision of Special Police Commissioner (Operations) Om Prakash. All police station officers have been directed to promptly resolve complaints related to delay in LPG booking and cylinder supply.
As part of the action, 6 cases were registered in District East, 4 accused were arrested and 207 cylinders were seized. In District West, 9 accused were arrested in 7 cases and 203 cylinders were seized, in District North, 1 accused was arrested in 3 cases and 31 cylinders were seized and in District South, 1 accused was arrested in 3 cases and 20 cylinders were seized.
About 98 gas agencies located in the Police Commissionerate area are being continuously investigated. The police station officer, CST and DST teams are conducting regular inspections and giving feedback to higher officials. Police has clarified that if any kind of irregularity is found, strict action will be taken immediately.
