Utkala Dibasa celebrated at KIIT and KISS

Bhubaneswar: The family members of KIIT (Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology) and KISS (Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences) Universities celebrated the Utkala Dibasa today.

A special event was organized where KIIT & KISS founded by Dr. Achyuta Samanta attended as Chief Guest and offered floral tributes to the great sons of Odisha along with others and remembered their contribution for the formation of the state.

Speaking on the occasion, Samanta said that the sacrifice and vision of the great sons of Odisha always guide us. “As Odisha moves towards completing 100 years in 2036, I feel happy to see the progress the state has made,” he said.

He further said, “In our own small way, KIIT & KISS have been working for more than three decades in education, healthcare, tribal development, sports and culture. We will continue to do our part for the development of Odisha.”

“My good wishes to everyone on this day,” Samanta ended his speech.

Among others, Vice Chancellor of KIIT Prof. (Dr.) Saranjit Singh, Pro-Vice Chancellor for the School of Medicine (KIMS, KIDS, KINS) Prof. (Dr.) C.B.K. Mohanty, Pro Vice-Chancellor Prof. Raju K. D. and Registrar Prof. Jnyana Ranjan Mohanty expressed their views on the importance of Utkala Dibasa and suggested that everyone should come together and extend a helping hand for the development of Odisha.

Before the conclusion of the event, a cultural program was presented by the students of KIIT and KISS.
