MHA Security: God Mode increases government’s tension, bank account will become empty in the blink of an eye, red alert issued
News India Live, Digital Desk: If you also use Android smartphone, then this news may blow your senses. The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) of the Government of India has issued a nationwide alert regarding a very dangerous malware ‘Android God Mode’. This is not an ordinary virus, but a digital era which hands over the complete control of your smartphone to hackers. The most scary thing is that with its help, cyber criminals can wipe out your entire digital identity and bank balance in a few seconds. What is this ‘God Mode’ and why is it so dangerous? It is being called ‘God Mode’ because once it enters your phone, it gives the hacker ‘God’ like powers on the device. According to the National Cybercrime Threat Analytics Unit (NCTAU) of the Home Ministry, this malware exploits the ‘Accessibility’ settings of your phone. Once the permission is granted, the hacker can view your screen, steal the passwords typed on your keyboard and even read your messages. Hackers are very cleverly spreading this malware in the form of real looking government and banking apps. It can mainly cheat you in the name of the following services: SBI YONO: Stealing your log-in details through fake banking app. RTO Challan: Sending fake links in the name of filling traffic challan. Digital Life Certificate: Targeting the elderly in the name of pension. Customer Support: Taking remote access to your phone on the pretext of providing assistance. Bank account can become empty in seconds. As soon as this malware is activated, it will send you the OTP (One Time Password) immediately sends it to the hacker. After this the hacker transfers money from your bank account without your knowledge. You don’t even realize when your hard-earned money has been looted. The government has warned that this malware is spreading most through WhatsApp, SMS and APK files found on third-party websites. Do these 5 things immediately for protection. The government and cyber experts have given strict instructions to avoid this danger: Use only Play Store: Never download an app from any link or unknown website. Keep an eye on Accessibility Permission: Think 10 times before giving ‘Accessibility’ access to any app. From unknown link Avoid: Do not click on links with tempting offers on WhatsApp or messages. Software Update: Always keep your phone updated to the latest security patch (March-April 2026). File a complaint: If you feel that your phone has been hacked, immediately call 1930 or report on www.cybercrime.gov.in.
