Mamata Banerjee’s big allegation before Bengal elections: ‘New officers appointed to get nominations rejected’

Kolkata. Amidst the election atmosphere in West Bengal, TMC chief Mamata Banerjee has made serious allegations against the Election Commission. Addressing a rally in Nanoor in Birbhum district on Wednesday, he said that the new officials appointed by the Election Commission have been given the responsibility of rejecting the nominations of TMC candidates.

He appealed to the party candidates to exercise utmost caution while filing nominations. “Everything has been changed, a new setup has been prepared, so it is important to remain alert,” Mamata Banerjee said.

Targeted at BJP also-
Mamata Banerjee accused the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of misusing central agencies for political gains. He especially appealed to women not to vote for BJP, saying that the party is anti-women and their names are being removed on technical grounds.

At another rally in Burwan, he alleged that the BJP was asking for bank account information from people in rural areas in the name of cash help. He warned people not to share such information.

Election dates and atmosphere-
Voting for the state’s 294-member assembly will be held in two phases on April 23 and 29, while counting of votes will be done on May 4.

Aggressive attitude in rallies-
Mamta Banerjee is continuously making sharp attacks on BJP in her rallies. He alleged that BJP wants to take political advantage by creating division in the society and goes back on its promises after the elections.

He appealed to the public not to be misled by anyone and vote thoughtfully.
