Jowar is gluten free and very beneficial for health. If you make cookies only from jowar flour, then make it in the oven without frying, because jowar flour bursts a lot and when you fry it, it starts absorbing more oil.

Jowar Flour Cookies Recipe
Step 1- Here we are taking 1 bowl of jowar flour. Along with this, taking 1 bowl of wheat flour. Add some semolina and coconut powder in it and mix it. Grind 1 teaspoon cumin, 5-7 green cardamoms and mix it. Add 1 tsp salt just to taste as the cookies are sweet.

Second step- Now add desi ghee in it. You have to add so much flour that if you hold the dough with your fist, it starts binding. Now add 2-3 spoons of unpowdered sugar in it. Now knead soft dough with the help of milk or water. We are kneading dough with milk. Cover the dough and keep aside for 5 minutes to set.

Third Step- Now set the dough and make it into long rolls. Cut it according to the size of the cookie with the help of a knife. Now flatten the prepared balls by pressing them with your palms. It should not be too thick in the middle. Prepare all the cookies in the same manner.

Fourth Step- If you are frying it, then keep the gas on medium flame while adding the cookies. When the cookies get set a little, reduce the flame of the gas completely. It takes 12 to 15 minutes to cook. Keep in mind that on very high flame the cookies will not cook from inside and on very low flame they start breaking. Therefore, take great care of the gas flame.

When the cookies turn brown, take them out from the oil. Place them on a tissue paper so that the oil can drain. You can make these and store them for 1 month. Jowar cookies taste very good. You can eat them with tea.
