Thousands of vehicles travel on this road (Pune Satara Highway) connecting two important cities of Pune and Satara. Pune-Satara road is very important road for work or business. But now due to this new toll rate increase, the concern of the employees and freight carriers has increased.

Meanwhile, along with this price hike, the administration has taken another big and very strict decision. Cash acceptance at toll booths has been completely stopped from today. All transactions will now be done through ‘FASTag’ or digital mode only.

Vehicles that do not have FASTag or have insufficient FASTag balance will have to pay double the fine. Khed Sivapur toll booth often has long queues of vehicles, especially during holidays, this toll booth is crowded with vehicles. Due to which the time of the passengers is wasted and the fuel is also wasted unnecessarily. This ‘fully digital’ system has been implemented to break this traffic jam forever and bring 100 percent transparency in toll collection transactions.
