Namit Malhotra’s ambitious project ‘Ramayana’ is all set to hit the big screen once again. This grand two-part serial directed by Nitesh Tiwari is coming to the audience in a new form. Interestingly, Ranbir Kapoor’s first look as Lord Rama has come out from this film, and it has peaked the curiosity of the audience.

Produced by Prime Focus Studios, the film uses international standard visual effects. The project is being produced in collaboration with eight-time Academy Award-winning VFX studio DNEG and Yash’s Monster Mind Creations. On 2 April 2026, the first glimpse of the character ‘Ram’ in the film was officially released. Seeing that, the curiosity of the fans about the film has increased even more.

Talking about the role of Rama, Ranbir Kapoor said that he is not just acting in this role, but trying to learn from Rama’s personality. According to him, the simplicity and purity of Rama is so rare that understanding it is a humbling experience. The star cast of strong actors will be seen in the film. Sai Pallavi as Sita, Ravi Dubey as Lakshmana and Sunny Deol as Hanuman. Also for music are internationally renowned Hans Zimmer and A.R. Rahman has been paired.
