Ranbir shared his feelings about this role. He described Lord Ram as the protector of the souls of billions of people for centuries. Ranbir said, “He is a symbol of compassion, courage, religion and forgiveness. He is called Maryada Purushottam, i.e. an ideal man.”

He also told that when he was offered this role four years ago, he was scared. Ranbir said, “I felt that I was not worthy of this, but gradually this fear changed into gratitude. When you get such an opportunity in life, you get a chance to improve yourself.”

Star cast and story of the film

Ramayana is made in two parts. In this Sai Pallavi is playing the role of Sita. Yash will play Ravana, while Sunny Deol will be seen as Hanuman ji. Ravi Dubey will play the role of Laxman. Ram Arun Govil of the old Ramayana serial will now become King Dasharatha.

Lara Dutta will play the role of Kaikeyi and Kunal Kapoor will play the role of Indra. The first part of the film is going to be released in Diwali 2026. This epic is a saga of courage, religion and human values.

The director’s wife Ashwini Iyer Tiwari also reacted to the teaser. While sharing an old picture of 2004, he wrote on Instagram that after watching the teaser, he felt deep peace and his eyes became moist. He said that it brought back memories of the days of talking for hours about the story.
