Assam Elections: Owaisi’s entry makes the contest interesting, targets both BJP and Congress; Big thing said on UCC
AIMIM Chief In Assam: As the Assam elections are coming closer, the election rhetoric has started intensifying. Voting is to be held in a single phase in the state on April 9. In such a situation, AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi, while targeting the alleged bulldozer-like action of Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, said that a clear message should be sent to CM Sarma through the assembly elections.
Also, AIMIM supremo Owaisi described the current situation in Assam as extremely worrying and talked about strengthening the Muslim leadership. Apart from this, he appealed to strengthen Badruddin Ajmal’s party AIUDF and said that in democracy, mere raising of slogans does not work but the answer has to be made through voting.
Vote is the most powerful weapon- Owaisi
Asaduddin Owaisi appealed to the voters to remain united and said that vote is the most powerful weapon in democracy, hence it should be used with wisdom and political acumen. Asaduddin Owaisi rejected Bharatiya Janata Party’s claims of electoral lead and clarified that his main objective is to send as many AIUDF candidates to the Assembly as possible.
BJP is in power because of Congress- Owaisi
Asaduddin Owaisi said on Assam Assembly elections that we are on Assam tour for two days in support of AIUDF party. We believe that politics of hatred is going on in Assam due to Himanta Biswa Sarma being the Chief Minister. Congress party has proved unsuccessful in stopping BJP. It is because of Congress Party that Himanta Biswa Sarma and BJP are in power today. Houses of more than 50 thousand Muslims were demolished and they were made homeless. In such a situation, it is very important to support Badruddin Ajmal so that the constitutional rights of those people can be protected.

Hindu code bill told to UCC
Speaking on the Uniform Civil Code, Owaisi said that freedom of religion is a fundamental right as per the Constitution. The preamble talks about freedom of thought, equality and justice. Its objective is to implement Hindu Code Bill in the name of UCC which is wrong and unconstitutional.
