Big split in BJP in Ramakrishnanagar, hundreds of men and women join Congress
Shribhoomi: The ruling party Bharatiya Janata Party has suffered a major setback before the elections in Ramakrishnanagar area of Shribhoomi district. Hundreds of male and female BJP workers simultaneously decided to leave the party and join the Indian National Congress. This development has created a stir in political circles. Last Monday, he formally joined the Congress in the presence of Congress candidate Suruchi Rai. Speaking to the media, he alleged that he was feeling neglected for a long time due to the dictatorial and authoritarian attitude of some leaders and workers close to local MLA Vijay Malakar.
He says that this issue was brought to the notice of the MLA several times, but no concrete action was taken. According to the defectors, “We can no longer tolerate this dictatorial and authoritarian style of functioning of the ruling party. Hence, we were forced to take this decision. There is no point in continuing where ordinary workers and voters have no importance.” He also said that after joining Congress, he will work in support of the party candidate in the coming days and will continue the struggle in the interest of the general public.
It is noteworthy that this mass defection took place in Ward No. 7, Mokamchhada area of Dullabhchhada GP of Ramakrishnanagar area. Political analysts believe that this incident is indicating a possible division in the Hindu vote bank, which could affect the election results. The defectors were led by Rahul Chauhan, Ranjit Pal, Manoj Kanu, Shiv Shankar Gwala, Santosh Kanu (Guddu), Pradeep Rai, Pranay Nath, Anup Nath and other local men and women.
