President Trump’s address to the nation on Iran war, said – the conflict will end with a decisive strike in the next two to three weeks…
Washington, April 2. Amid the ongoing military conflict with Iran, US President Donald Trump addressed the nation for the first time and clarified the current situation and future strategy of the war. Trump claimed that the most difficult phase of the war has been completed and now America is close to ending this conflict. President Trump said in his address that Iran’s military power has been destroyed to a great extent. However, he warned that the US military will continue to strike Iran “extremely hard” for the next two to three weeks.
- Strict stance on the Strait of Hormuz
According to Trump, over the past four weeks the US armed forces have achieved “swift and decisive victories” on the battlefield that have never been seen before. Referring to the Strait of Hormuz, which is important for global oil supply, Trump gave a strong message to oil importing countries. He said, “Countries that receive oil through this route should themselves come forward and take responsibility for the safety of this waterway. Take it under your control and make it safe for yourself.”
- Security assurance to Middle East allies
Trump expressed special gratitude to the regional allies supporting this war – Israel, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, UAE, Kuwait and Bahrain. He made it clear that Washington will not let the interests of its friends be affected at any cost and is fully committed to their security. The President’s address indicates that America now wants to end this costly military conflict as soon as possible, but it is working on a plan to completely destroy Iran’s remaining military capability before retreating.
