Dhurandhar 2 nears Rs 950 crore in India

Mumbai: Ranveer Singh’s blockbuster Dhurandhar: The Revenge continues its unstoppable run at the box office, inching closer to the Rs 950 crore milestone in India after completing two weeks in theatres.

The film has amassed a staggering Rs 920.02 crore (net) domestically and Rs 1,101.47 crore (gross) within 14 days, despite a gradual reduction in the number of shows. With strong weekday hold, the film remains firmly on track to cross the Rs 950 crore mark in the coming days.

Strong hold in second week

On Day 14 (Wednesday), the film collected Rs 20.10 crore in India, pushing its second-week total to Rs 245.85 crore. While collections have naturally slowed compared to the opening week, the film continues to perform strongly for a second-week run.

In its opening week, Dhurandhar: The Revenge recorded an extraordinary Rs 674.14 crore, setting the tone for its historic box office journey.

The film opened with Rs 102.55 crore on March 19, followed by Rs 80.72 crore on March 20 and Rs 113 crore on March 21. Collections peaked over the weekend, with Rs 114.85 crore on March 22.

As expected, numbers dipped on the first Monday (March 23) to Rs 65 crore, but the film maintained steady earnings between Rs 40 crore and Rs 60 crore through the weekdays, reflecting sustained audience interest.

Worldwide total crosses Rs 1,400 crore

The film’s global performance has been equally impressive. On Day 14, it added Rs 7 crore from overseas markets, taking its international total to Rs 365 crore.

This has pushed the worldwide gross collection to an impressive Rs 1,466.47 crore, placing the film among the highest-grossing Indian films of all time.

In Australia, the film has delivered a record-breaking performance, emerging as the highest-grossing Indian film in the market with earnings of A$6.37 million within just 11 days.

It has surpassed the lifetime collections of major hits like Pathaan, Jawan and Animal in record time, and became the first Indian film to cross the A$6 million mark within just 10 days.

Star power and franchise momentum

Arjun Rampal, R. Madhavan and Sanjay Dutt reprise their roles alongside Ranveer Singh in this high-octane sequel, which has capitalised on the success of its predecessor.

Released in December 2025, the film quickly emerged as the highest-grossing release of the year and the top earner in a single language category. Notably, it surpassed the lifetime earnings of the original Dhurandhar within just 11 days of release.

Eyes on next milestone

With momentum still strong despite reduced screenings, trade analysts expect the film to cross Rs 950 crore domestically within the next few days. If the trend continues, the Rs 1,000 crore mark in India also appears within reach.

The film’s consistent performance highlights the growing scale of Indian cinema and its ability to dominate both domestic and international markets.
