Mumbai: Famous Bollywood comedian Rajpal Yadav is once again in the news. This time the reason for their discussion is the check bounce issue. The case was heard in the Delhi High Court on Wednesday, in which Rajpal Yadav became emotional. The judge reprimanded him for wasting time and ultimately reserved the judgement. Justice Swarn Kanta Sharma of Delhi High Court was hearing this case.

Some time ago, the court had given relief to Rajpal Yadav and said that he will not have to go to jail for the time being, as he has paid a large part of the dues. The court had given both the parties a last chance to reach a compromise. However, no agreement could be reached between the two parties in the hearing held on April 1. Rajpal Yadav looked very emotional during the hearing.
He said in the court that whatever decision comes, he will accept it. But seeing his emotionality, the judge said in a stern tone, ‘You are wasting time.’ The judge clearly said that the case is not progressing by repeatedly taking time. The opposition side told the court that they are ready to take Rs 6 crore, but no concrete proposal came from Rajpal Yadav.

Rajpal Yadav’s lawyer Bhaskar Upadhyay presented his arguments, but a settlement could not be reached. Many efforts were made between both the parties, but there was no result. Earlier, two weeks ago, Delhi High Court had given interim relief to Rajpal Yadav and said that there is no need for him to go to jail immediately as a large part of the dues has been deposited. But now the whole matter again depends on the decision of the court.
Rajpal Yadav said in the court, ‘I will follow every instruction of the court.’ Despite his statement, the judge warned him that further wastage of time would not be tolerated. From small roles to hit comedy films, Rajpal Yadav has made his mark in Bollywood. But for the last few years he has been embroiled in legal matters.

This issue of check bounce is quite old and has been going on for a long time. Now all eyes are on the upcoming decision of Delhi High Court.
