Why was Raghav Chaddha in the news?

In the last few months, Raghav Chadha has been continuously raising issues related to the general public. Especially the issue related to mobile data was much discussed. He said that “the data that the user buys should not expire at 12 midnight”.

Data rollover issue heated up

Speaking in the Rajya Sabha, Chadha said that mobile companies take full money from users, but destroy the remaining data. He demanded that the data be treated as a “digital asset” and facilitated for further use. In desi style – “Full money, half profit – this will not do”.
