UP politics heated up due to Jodhpur marriage, Akhilesh Yadav angry, sword hanging on three MLAs

A wedding ceremony has increased the political stir in the politics of Uttar Pradesh. The presence of three Samajwadi Party MLAs in the marriage ceremony of two IPS officers Sambhal SP KK Bishnoi and Bareilly IPS Anshika Verma held in Jodhpur, Rajasthan has displeased the party leadership. The MLAs who participated in this program include Iqbal Mahmood from Sambhal, Pinky Yadav from Asmoli and Ramkhiladi Singh Yadav from Gunnaur.

Akhilesh Yadav expressed his displeasure

SP chief Akhilesh Yadav has expressed displeasure over this entire incident. When he was asked about this in the press conference held on Thursday, he clearly said that the party MLAs should not have attended such a function. However, he also added that this issue will be discussed and explained to the MLAs. It is clear from his statement that the party leadership is taking this matter seriously.

After Akhilesh Yadav’s displeasure, a period of speculation has started in political circles. There is discussion that these MLAs may lose their tickets in the 2027 assembly elections. Although no such official indication has been given by the party yet, this development has sparked a debate within the SP regarding discipline and political message.

KK Bishnoi has been in controversies

Actually, Sambhal SP KK Bishnoi has been in controversies earlier also. He had attracted a lot of attention after the riots in Sambhal in November 2024. At that time the SP chief had made serious allegations against the local police-administration and held them responsible for the situation. Apart from this, controversy also arose over the issue of not registering FIR against police officers despite the court order. On this, Akhilesh Yadav had given a strong reaction and said that no one is above the law and disobeying the orders of the court can be a serious matter.

Now questions are being raised regarding the presence of SP MLAs in the private functions of these IPS officers. This matter is not only about attending a social event, but is also believed to be related to political message and following the party line.
