Iran’s missile attack on Israel’s Haifa port, Trump claims – “Iran’s missile program destroyed”

Shortly after US President Donald Trump claimed that Iran’s missile program had been completely destroyed by US-Israeli military action, Iranian forces launched missile attacks on Israel’s strategic northern port city of Haifa. Iran’s state media, Press TV, gave information about this attack.

Subsequently, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) confirmed the missile attacks in a statement and said that their defensive systems are actively trying to destroy this threat. “Some time ago, the IDF detected missiles being launched from Iran, and defensive systems are actively working to destroy this threat,” the IDF said on its Telegram channel.

The IDF also reported that the Home Front Command issued security instructions via mobile phones in the affected areas, appealing to residents to follow security instructions. “After receiving the alert, the public is requested to move to a safe place and remain there until further instructions are received. Permission to leave the safe place will only be given after receiving clear instructions,” the IDF said.

This development took place when Trump, in his national address praising the US military after the military action started against Iran since the end of February, said that this campaign against Iran is nearing a decisive end. Trump claimed that Iran’s maritime and aerial capabilities have been systematically destroyed and that the country’s military infrastructure has been seriously damaged.

“Iran’s navy is destroyed, their air force is destroyed, and most of their leaders are now dead,” Trump said. He also said that the opposition’s “capability to launch missiles and drones has been significantly reduced.” Trump also claimed that “weapons factories and rocket launchers are being dismantled – there are very few left” and that “America is winning bigger victories than ever before.”
