The biggest blast of Modi government! Special session of Parliament from April 16, Lok Sabha seats will become 816
New Delhi: Amidst the conclusion of the budget session, the Central Government has taken a very shocking and big step. The government has decided not to adjourn the meetings of Parliament indefinitely. Instead, a special session of Parliament will now be called on 16, 17 and 18 April. The main objective of this three-day session is to remove all the legal obstacles coming in the way of implementing women’s reservation and to pass the related amendment bills.
Number of Lok Sabha seats will increase to 816!
According to the information received, the budget session of Parliament, which was to end on Thursday, is now unlikely to be postponed indefinitely. The government is planning to call a meeting again in the third week of April to implement women’s reservation. During this time, there are preparations to bring a historic bill, through which the current number of Lok Sabha seats can be directly increased from 543 to 816. This step may prove to be the biggest change ever in the democratic structure of the country.
Budget session was to end today, but farewell postponed
This year the budget session started on January 28 and was to end on April 2. But the government is now considering restarting it after a short break of a few days. Sources say that the Speaker of the Lok Sabha and the Chairman of the Rajya Sabha can adjourn the proceedings of the House on Thursday, not indefinitely, but till a fixed date (April 16). The government has confirmed this extended period, which is expected to lead to major amendments in the ‘Nari Shakti Vandan Act’.
There will be a big change in Nari Shakti Vandan Act
Quoting sources, it is reported that the government may present the Constitution Amendment Bill during these meetings to be held in the third week of April. Through this, the conditions of the ‘Nari Shakti Vandan Bill’ passed in 2023 will be changed. It is worth noting that under this law, there is a provision to give 33 percent reservation to women in the Lok Sabha and Assemblies, but according to the existing rules, it can be implemented only after the process of delimitation. The government is now preparing to solve this problem.
Amit Shah took command, discussed with opposition also
Union Home Minister Amit Shah has shown a lot of activity in the last few days to create a consensus on this master plan. He has held separate meetings with the NDA constituents as well as leaders of several regional opposition parties. According to the new blueprint that is being prepared, if the Lok Sabha seats increase to 816, then a total of 273 seats will be directly reserved for women. This will not only increase the political participation of women, but will also completely change the nature of the country’s Parliament.
