Ranveer Singh’s movie ‘Dhurandhar 2’ is back in the news. And now Mithun Chakraborty has also reacted to this. Speaking to IANS, Mithun Chakraborty expressed his views on his 2025 film ‘The Bengal Files’, which has not been released. He said that if his film had to face such a situation, then ‘Dhurandhar 2’ should not have been released.

He added, “What can be more tragic than not allowing the release of ‘The Bengal Files’? Now you call ‘Dhurandhar’ a propaganda film, so why shouldn’t you have stopped ‘Dhurandhar’ too? ‘Dhurandhar’ was released and now you are saying it is a propaganda film. But ‘The Bengal Files’ was not released. In Bengal against it, the film was not released. What could be more tragic?”

Mithun Chakraborty added that the film ‘The Bengal Files’ was based on the pre-independence Noakhali riots, but was not allowed to be released. Defending Aditya Dhar’s film, Mithun Chakraborty said, “Whatever you say about Dadagiri, but Dhurandhar has broken all records. That’s why so many people have seen the film. People from every community have seen it, are appreciating it and any film does business only after watching it two or three times.” This is what the actor says.
