IPL 2026 blast: RR benefits from CSK’s defeat, complete update of points table
New Delhi.IPL 2026 has started with great matches. 5 out of 10 teams tasted victory, while the remaining 5 teams had to face defeat. In the first matches, both high-scoring and moderate-scoring matches were seen, due to which there was a big difference in the net run rate.
Rajasthan’s explosive start
Rajasthan Royals made a splash by defeating CSK by 8 wickets in their first match. CSK could score only 127 runs and Rajasthan’s openers chased 128 runs and easily won the match. After this victory, Rajasthan’s net run rate has reached +4.171, due to which the team has a great chance to remain table topper.
RCB’s high scoring blast
At second place is RCB, which played a high scoring match against Sunrisers Hyderabad. Hyderabad set a target of 203 runs, which RCB achieved in just 15.4 overs on the basis of strong innings by Virat Kohli and Devdutt Padikkal. RCB’s net run rate is +2.907 and the next performance of the team will depend on the next match.
Delhi left Mumbai behind
Delhi Capitals defeated Lucknow Super Giants and captured number-3 in the points table. Delhi chased the target of 141 runs easily. Mumbai Indians also defeated KKR, but due to Delhi’s run rate being +1.397, it remained above Mumbai (+0.687).
