Weather Update: ‘Monsoon’ Like feeling! There will be rain in 17 states including Delhi-UP, IMD alert
Today’s weather: Due to the impact of western disturbance, the weather has taken a turn in many states of North India like UP, Delhi, Jammu-Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh. According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), two active western disturbances will affect north-west India this week, increasing the chances of rain, strong winds and hailstorm. According to the latest update, their impact will be maximum on 3, 4 and 7 April. Especially on April 3 and 4, there may be hailstorm in many areas, while there are chances of heavy rain in Kashmir Valley.
The Meteorological Department has predicted light to moderate rain with thunderstorms in Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, Delhi and Uttar Pradesh. During this period, strong winds can blow at a speed of 50–60 km per hour at many places. A warning of thunderstorm and hailstorm has been issued in Uttar Pradesh on April 4 and 5.
Weather Update: Chances of rain in these states
The weather may remain active in the states of Central India till April 6. There is a possibility of rain and hailstorm with thunder and lightning in Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh. There are chances of thunderstorms and strong winds in Bihar, Jharkhand and West Bengal also. South Indian states Kerala, Karnataka, Telangana and Tamil Nadu may also receive light to moderate rain for the next few days. There is a possibility of strong winds along with thunderstorms in some parts of Maharashtra and Gujarat. According to IMD, the maximum temperature in northwest and central India may drop by 2 to 5 degrees Celsius, which is expected to provide some relief from the heat.

Weather in Delhi
The weather will remain changed in Delhi and surrounding areas for the next few days. It will be cloudy during the day and there may be light rain or drizzle in the evening. During this period, winds are expected to blow at a speed of about 40 km per hour. Light rain with thunderstorms and strong winds of 40–50 kmph may occur on April 4 and 5.
Weather Update: Weather in Uttar Pradesh
Winds have been blowing strong in Uttar Pradesh since morning. According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of thunderstorm, rain and hailstorm in many districts on April 4 and 5. During this period, wind speed can reach 50–60 km per hour, especially in different parts of western and eastern UP.
Weather Update: Weather in Rajasthan
According to Jaipur Meteorological Centre, a strong weather system is active in the state, which may cause thunderstorms and hailstorm at isolated places in many areas till April 4. The weather remained relatively clear in the last 24 hours, but from April 5, the impact of this system is likely to reduce and the weather will become clear.
Weather Update: Weather in Bihar
There is a possibility of bad weather in Bihar between April 5 and 8. During this period, there may be thunderstorms, lightning and strong winds up to 70 km per hour. There is also a danger of lightning at some places.

Weather in Tamil Nadu
The weather seems to be changing in Tamil Nadu also. Light to moderate rain is expected over southern parts of the state, while overall temperatures are expected to rise gradually. According to the Regional Meteorological Department, a trough (low pressure line) is forming at an altitude of about 900 meters from the interior parts of Tamil Nadu to North Karnataka, which is having an impact on the weather. Due to this, there may be sporadic rain in the southern coastal districts and Western Ghats areas.
