On Wednesday (April 1), the fifth match of IPL 2026 was played between Delhi Capitals and Lucknow Super Giants. This match was being played at Ekana Stadium in Lucknow, where the enthusiasm of the fans increased so much that the matter reached a fight.

It is being told that an argument started between the supporters of both the teams regarding a controversial decision, which soon turned into a scuffle. In the viral video on social media, it can be clearly seen that fans are pushing each other and even throwing punches. During this time, people sitting nearby, especially families and children, became very nervous and started moving away from there.

The stadium security team and police had to intervene to bring the situation under control. They immediately separated the two sides and some people were even taken out of the stadium. After this incident, questions have once again been raised regarding the security arrangements in a big tournament like IPL.

Talking about the match on the field, Lucknow Super Giants, batting first, could not score a big score and the team was reduced to 141 runs in 18.4 overs. Mitchell Marsh (35) and Abdul Samad (36) definitely scored some important runs for the team, but no big partnership could be formed.

In reply, Delhi Capitals batted brilliantly and achieved the target easily. Sameer Rizvi played a match-winning inning of unbeaten 70 runs in 47 balls, while Tristan Stubbs (39) also made important contributions and Delhi won the match with 17 balls remaining.
