Why do JDU leaders have a problem with Nitish Kumar’s Z-plus security?

A few days before Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar went to Rajya Sabha, the Home Department of the state government issued a letter. Referring to his resignation in this letter, it has been said that he is leaving the post of Chief Minister. The letter states that he is eligible for Z-Plus security even after leaving the post of Chief Minister and becoming a Rajya Sabha member.

The Home Department has said in the notification that Nitish Kumar is eligible for security under the Bihar Special Security Act-2000. This law gives protection to specific people on the basis of sensitivity. He is the Chief Minister now, the political situation is becoming such that he will need this security.

It has been written in the name of the Director General of Police. It has been demanded that Nitish Kumar should be given security under Bihar Special Security Act-2000. This letter was written on March 30 by K Suhita Anupam, Special Secretary, Home Department, to the Director General of Police of Bihar.

Nitish Kumar will go to Rajya Sabha, will resign from the post of CM

Nitish Kumar has been elected to the Rajya Sabha. He has left the membership of Bihar Legislative Council. Now he will resign from the post of Chief Minister and take membership of Rajya Sabha.

Why are JDU leaders angry?

According to a report by Indian Express, JDU leaders are unhappy with the new change. He says that Nitish Kumar will take oath of Rajya Sabha on April 10 and then resign. In such a situation, it is wrong for the government to send a letter fixing the time for resignation in advance. JDU leaders say that the Home Department should not have acted in such a hurry.

Changes in security arrangements are a normal process, which could have been done even after the resignation. JDU leaders say that this letter has hurt the sentiments of their party workers and leaders.

How long will Nitish Kumar remain CM?

Nitish Kumar has resigned from the membership of the Legislative Council on March 30. He can remain the Chief Minister of the state till April 15. After that there is a possibility of a new government being formed. The Home Department is with Bihar’s Deputy CM Samrat Chaudhary. He is being seen as the successor of Nitish Kumar.
