UP shines with Reform-Perform-Transform mantra…Singapore companies become investment center
Lucknow, Read: Singapore’s High Commissioner to India Simon Wong paid a courtesy call on Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Thursday. During this, both sides agreed to further strengthen investment, skill development, infrastructure and cultural cooperation. The Chief Minister said that Uttar Pradesh has emerged as a rapidly growing economy with the mantra of ‘Reform, Perform and Transform’. Better law and order, modern infrastructure, expressway network, defense corridor and logistics hub in the state are providing world class facilities to the investors.
Describing the Chief Minister’s recent visit to Singapore as successful, High Commissioner Wong said that it has increased the confidence of global investors in Uttar Pradesh. He said that the industrial world of surrounding countries including Singapore is now looking at UP as a center of new investment opportunities. Praising the improvements in law and order, infrastructure and industrial development in the state in the last few years, he said that Singapore companies are active in increasing investment here. He also informed that a large industrial delegation from Singapore will soon visit Uttar Pradesh and assess the investment possibilities.
In the meeting, it was also agreed to increase cooperation in the field of skill development, which will create new employment opportunities for the youth of the state.
Emphasis on cooperation in tourism and industrial sectors
Both sides also agreed to enhance partnership in the tourism sector by discussing the potential of Buddhist tourist destinations like Kushinagar and Sarnath. It was also talked about to pursue investment possibilities in various areas including Noida, Greater Noida, Jhansi and Varanasi.
Singapore is an important global partner
Describing Singapore as an important global partner, the Chief Minister said that both sides will benefit from long-term cooperation in the fields of industrial investment, urban development, logistics, skill development and tourism. He expressed confidence that in the times to come, this partnership will establish new dimensions of investment, innovation and employment creation.
