Raghav Chadha-AAP rift : Aam Aadmi Party has removed MP Raghav Chadha from the post of deputy leader of the party in Rajya Sabha. The party has written a letter to the Rajya Sabha Secretariat demanding that Raghav Chadha should no longer be given the speaking time allotted from the party’s quota in the House. On which Raghav Chadha’s sharp reaction has come to the fore. He has asked his party whether raising people’s issues is a crime?

MP Raghav Chadha reacted by releasing a video on his removal from the post of Deputy Leader of Aam Aadmi Party in Rajya Sabha. He said, “Whenever I get a chance to speak in Parliament, I raise people’s issues—often issues that are not generally discussed. But is it a crime to raise people’s issues? Have I committed any crime or made any mistake? I am asking this because the Aam Aadmi Party has told the Rajya Sabha Secretariat that I should not be allowed to speak in Parliament. Yes, the party has said that I should not be given the opportunity to speak. Why should anyone stop me from speaking?” Would like to? I always talk about common people’s issues. But what harm has this done to the party? Why would anyone want to suppress my voice?”

Chadha further said, “You all give me a lot of love and support. Whenever I raise your issues, you encourage me and boost my morale. I want to thank you all; please stand by me and do not leave me. I am here because of you and for you only. And to those who have taken away my right to speak in Parliament and tried to silence me, I want to say this: do not mistake my silence for my weakness.” Don’t make the mistake of saying, “I am like a river, which takes the form of a flood when the right time comes.”
