The shutters of shops in the major markets of the city remained closed since morning, due to which there was silence in the entire area. In view of the situation, the police administration remained alert and surveillance was increased at various places.

According to the information, on Thursday, the glass of the car collided with the hand of a barber near a shop near the old jail, Gadere. The dispute escalated over this incident, which soon turned into a fight. Meanwhile, the barber attacked a young man with scissors, which created tension in the area.

Local traders and citizens called for a market shutdown in protest against the incident. Its widespread impact was seen on Friday, when business activities came to a standstill across the city and normal life was partially affected.

The administration has appealed to the people to maintain peace while keeping an eye on the situation. Vinay Sharma, President of the same Trade Sabha, said that Friday was completely successful and all the traders have cooperated.
