Travel from Panvel to Pune will be superfast; A new flyover has been built here
Palm Beach Road Flyover | Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation has inaugurated a new arm flyover at Vashi Sector 17 to improve traffic and urban connectivity in the city. The flyover will connect Palm Beach Road directly with the Sion-Panvel highway, making travel faster and more comfortable for commuters. This flyover was inaugurated by Maharashtra Forest Minister Ganesh Naik. Mayor Sujata Patil, Deputy Mayor Dashrath Bhagat and other municipal officials were present on this occasion.
On this occasion, Forest Minister Naik said that this project is going to fill one of the important shortages of transportation in the city. The extra time wasted due to traffic jams will not be wasted with this flyover. Ganesh Naik also appreciated the officials involved in the implementation of this project and expressed confidence that there will be further improvements in infrastructure in Navi Mumbai. The length of this flyover is 290 meters and width is 6.5 meters. This flyover has been constructed with a total expenditure of Rs.18.32 crores. This will provide direct access to Sion-Panvel Highway from Palm Beach Road from ‘City Bank Junction’ at Vashi. Therefore, passengers can now avoid the long detour to go via Sanpada route. Naturally, it is expected to reduce the travel time from Panvel to Pune by around 20 minutes. Also, there will be a huge saving in fuel due to reduction in traffic jams. Palm Beach Road Flyover
Motorists coming from Vashi, Kopar Khairane and Turbhe usually used to take the congested APMC-MAFCO (Varna) road via Shivaji Maharaj Chowk-Abhyudaya Bank Junction or Sanpada. Vehicles coming from Belapur were diverted via Vashi railway station road. These routes took an extra 10-15 minutes of travel time, which reached almost 20 minutes during peak hours, and also increased fuel consumption. But now this new flyover will reduce this stress significantly.
