Indian cricket legend Yuvraj Singh has apologized to Kapil Dev and MS Dhoni for the controversial remarks of his father Yograj Singh. In a teaser of Sports Tak podcast, Yuvraj clearly said, ‘I want to apologize to Kapil Dev and MS Dhoni.’
Yuvraj Singh has been a key player in the victory of 2007 T20 World Cup and 2011 ODI World Cup. At that time, there were big names in the Indian team like Sachin Tendulkar, Virender Sehwag, MS Dhoni, Zaheer Khan. Yuvraj shone amidst all this but did not get the captaincy of the team for long.

The team was playing well under the captaincy of Dhoni, so Yuvraj did not get a chance to become the captain for a long time. After retirement, Yuvraj’s father Yograj Singh criticized Dhoni many times. He said that Yuvraj did not get the captaincy because of Dhoni.
Yograj Singh is a famous cricket coach of Punjab. He has often been giving controversial statements. In the year 2025, he had also made serious allegations against Kapil Dev. He had said that when Kapil Dev became the captain of North Zone, Haryana, he was dropped from the team without any reason. Yograj also told that he wanted to kill Kapil Dev at that time but did not do anything because of Kapil Dev’s mother.

Yograj said, ‘My wife and Yuvi’s mother wanted me to ask questions to Kapil Dev. I told him that I will give that man a taste. I took out the pistol and went to Kapil’s house. He came out with his mother. I also abused him a lot.”
Yograj had also made sharp comments on Dhoni and some other former players. He had said that some captains ruined the team.
Yuvraj apologized
Now in Sports Tak podcast, Yuvraj Singh gave his reaction on all this. When he was asked whether he felt bad after listening to his father’s interview, he said, ‘I have told my father that this is not right.’ He also apologized to both the players for this.

Yuvraj said that he has explained to his father that such things should not be said. He said, ‘I sincerely apologize to both of them.’
