Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) It said on Friday that the supply of domestic gas in the country is normal and approximately 28 lakh LPG cylinders are being supplied daily. The state-owned oil company noted that despite global challenges, its operations are continuing as normal. IndianOil assured consumers that there is no shortage and advised against panic booking or stockpiling.
In a post on ‘X’, IndianOil said, “IndianOil continues to ensure uninterrupted supply of LPG to households across the country. Approximately 28 lakh LPG cylinders are being distributed daily. Despite geopolitical challenges, operations remain stable at normal levels.” The company reported that nearly 87 percent of LPG bookings are now being done through digital platforms such as SMS and IVRS and customers are verifying delivery through Delivery Authentication Code (DAC) OTP. The company also noted that it is actively addressing customer issues through its official support channels.

Additionally, the company clarified that Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs) are providing 5-kg Free Trade LPG (FTL) cylinders to migrant workers on presentation of valid identity cards, which will ensure smooth and easy distribution. The oil company said, “Adequate arrangements have been made to maintain continuous availability and there has been no interruption in supply. Hence, there is no need to worry or panic as the situation is being closely monitored and measures are being taken to meet all requirements effectively.”
IndianOil added, “Domestic LPG customers are our top priority. Uninterrupted supply is being ensured through authorized distributors across the country and a strict vigil is being maintained to prevent black market. Please book your LPG only through authorized channels and opt for OTP-based delivery for a safe and reliable experience.” The company has advised people not to believe the misleading information being spread on social media, which says that filling petrol in bottles or open containers is not only unsafe but also illegal.
