He said that things like recommendation or bribe have been completely eliminated in the government recruitment process. Its direct effect was that people of every class and every region got employment opportunities. He said that such a policy has increased the confidence of the general public in government institutions and has facilitated the youth in getting employment.

CM Mann’s reaction on Raghav Chaddha case

Responding to the recent controversy of Raghav Chadha, CM Mann said that the leader of the Parliamentary Board keeps changing from time to time. When Aam Aadmi Party won the elections, first Gandhiji was the leader of the board and later he was given this responsibility. He said that if someone goes against the party whip, it is natural to take action against him.

CM Mann further said that cases have been registered against 160 party workers in Gujarat, and incidents like fake voting should be raised in the Rajya Sabha. He raised the question as to why Raghav Chadha is silent on such serious issues, and also clarified that it is natural to be suspicious.

Priority to employment and development

The Chief Minister in his speech also said that the main focus of the government has been to increase employment and empower the youth in Punjab. He said that the government has made the recruitment process in various departments simple and transparent. Its benefit was that the youth were able to easily get government jobs and the employment rate improved.

CM Mann said that his effort was to ensure that every decision was in the interest of the public. Citing examples of improvements in employment, education and health, he said that the government adopted fair and transparent policies at every level.
