Storm of ‘Dhurandhar 2’: 1492 crores in 15 days, fourth in the list of top films

Bollywood film Dhurandhar: The Revenge has performed well at the box office and has earned Rs 1492.17 crore in just 15 days. With this tremendous collection, the film has now reached the fourth position in the list of highest-grossing Indian films worldwide.

Directed by Aditya Dhar, this film has collected a net of Rs 937.32 crore in India in 15 days. Although the second week saw a decline in earnings, overall the momentum of the film still remains strong.

Stormy earnings in the first week

The first week of the film was very good, earning Rs 674.17 crore. After this, the figures for the second week were as follows –

Competition with top films

‘Dhurandhar 2’ is now at fourth place after Dangal (2070 crores), Baahubali 2 (1810.60 crores) and Pushpa 2: The Rule (1742.10 crores). However, interestingly, Allu Arjun’s ‘Pushpa 2’ had earned this amount in about 60–65 days, whereas ‘Dhurandhar 2’ has shown such growth in just 15 days.

Left the old film behind

This film has also left behind its first part Dhurandhar (1354.84 crores), which was already considered a big hit. The good thing for the film is that there is no big Hindi release next week, due to which ‘Dhurandhar 2’ can get a long run at the box office. Now the real challenge will be to surpass the lifetime records of ‘Baahubali 2’ and ‘Dangal’.

In the film, Ranveer Singh is seen in the role of Indian spy Hamza Ali Majri. Along with him, actors like Sanjay Dutt, R Madhavan, Arjun Rampal, Rakesh Bedi, Danish Pandor and Sara Arjun are also in important roles. The film has now entered its third weekend and considering the pace at which it is progressing, it may break more big records in the coming days.
