Tamil Nadu Election 2026 : BJP’s strategy for Tamil Nadu; List of candidates for 27 seats announced excluding Annamalai
Tamil Nadu Election 2026 : Tamil Nadu : Assembly elections are going on in five states of the country and BJP is trying hard to establish power in all these states. Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP Politics) has announced its list of candidates for the Tamil Nadu Assembly elections. The party announced the names of candidates for the 27 assembly seats to be contested with its alliance. The list includes senior leaders like Union Ministers and former Governors. However, former state president K. Annamalai’s name has been dropped from the fray. (Political News)
Keeping Annamalai, who raised the BJP’s hopes in Tamil Nadu politics in the last assembly elections, from the fray is being seen as a surprising step in the party’s strategy. BJP says Annamalai’s role in organization and election campaign will be extensive. Meanwhile, Annamalai’s strained relationship with the AIADMK is said to be the main reason behind her exclusion from the polls.

BJP’s more emphasis on strategy
This time, the Bharatiya Janata Party has focused on strategic seats rather than sheer numbers, where its chances of victory are greater. It is worth noting that in the previous Tamil Nadu Assembly Election 2021, BJP fielded candidates for only 20 assembly seats in Tamil Nadu.
