Iran uses America’s ‘tank killer’ A-10 Warthog destroyed, radar locked and horrifying video of attack surfaced

A-10 Warthog Shot Down Video: Iran’s defense forces have claimed that they have shot down the US Air Force’s main A-10 Warthog aircraft. Iran’s Aerospace Force has also made public the video of this incident, in which the air defense system shows the aircraft being targeted and attacked. Iran says that this incident happened in the Persian Gulf. Two US military aircraft were claimed to have been downed in separate attacks on Friday, with one serviceman rescued and at least one other missing.

Iran’s Aerospace Force released a video showing their air defense radar and targeting system. The video showed how an A-10 Warthog aircraft was attacked after its radar was locked.

Iranian state broadcaster IRIB shared this footage on its official X account. Iran says that during this attack the A-10 Warthog aircraft was destroyed by their defense system.

The incident dealt a major blow to America, especially since the war had begun about five weeks earlier. Iran had earlier also claimed to have shot down two US aircraft, including an F-15E Strike Eagle. After this, now the incident of fall of A-10 has come to light.

Iran made victim of ‘tank killer’

A-10 ‘Warthog’ is an old and strong ground attack aircraft of the US Army, which is specifically designed to target ground targets. It is also known as ‘Tank Killer’ due to its strong structure and heavy weapons capability.

However, US officials confirmed the incident, saying that the A-10 aircraft had fallen, but the pilot was safe and rescued. However, the US government has not clarified whether the reason for the plane’s fall was Iran’s attack or some other reason.

Iran’s defense system active

Describing this success of its defense system, Iran has said that it is completely alert and ready to give a befitting reply to any attack. This incident occurred at a time when the anti-war action between the US and Israel against Iran has intensified, and the regional security situation continues to deteriorate. After this incident, there is a possibility of further increase in tension in the Middle East.
