Jugail police got big success, 03 accused wanted in murder case arrested, sent to court

Under the direction of Superintendent of Police Abhishek Verma and supervision of Additional Superintendent of Police Headquarters Anil Kumar and Area Officer Obra Amit Kumar and under the able leadership of Police Station Head Jugail Jitendra Kumar, Jugail police station has achieved significant success in the campaign being run to effectively curb crime and criminals.

Investigation was done on the basis of the application received in relation to FIR No. 38/2026, Section 103(1), 3(5) BNS and 3(2)V SC/ST Act, registered at Police Station Jugail on 02.04.2026, in which plaintiff Isravati told that her husband Shivcharan God of village Badgaon was sent to jail on 14.03.2026. At 16.00, accused Ram Prasad took him on his motorcycle, after which he went missing.

On 19.03.2026, Shivcharan’s body was found in a decomposed state at a place called Gujri on the banks of river Son, in relation to which necessary legal action was taken by police station Jugail. Arrested accused – Ram Prasad son of Gulab Yadav, village Chaura Tola Bijora police station Jugail Sonbhadra, age about 45 years, Chhote Lal son Ramlakhan Kol, village Bijora police station Jugail. Sonbhadra, aged around 40 years, Parasram alias Sarwan alias Sukhdev, son of Govind Kol, village Bijora police station Jugail Sonbhadra, aged around 22 years, was arrested on 03.04.2026 at around 10:30 am on the information of informer, from village Chaura Tola Bijora.

During interrogation, the accused told that after drinking alcohol on the night of 14.03.2026, due to mutual rivalry, they strangulated Shivcharan Gaur to death and threw the body on the banks of Son river to hide the evidence. Accused Ram Prasad told that there was a grudge against the deceased for not giving him the money by selling his bull earlier and the incident was carried out out of malice because the other accused suspected the deceased of practicing witchcraft.

Necessary legal action was taken against the arrested accused and they were sent to the court. The arresting team included police station head Jitendra Kumar, police station Jugail district Sonbhadra, SI Rajendra Prasad Yadav, SI Shyam Narayan Yadav, female SI Meena Yadav, SI Deepak Kumar, SI Mukesh Kumar.
