Shribhoomi- There is intense tension in the area regarding the incident that took place in Dalgram of Kazirbazar-Paldahar GP of Patharkandi assembly constituency of Shribhoomi district. The local minority community has strongly condemned the incident and demanded strict action against the culprits.
Today, April 3 (Friday), after Jumma Namaz, protest meetings were organized at various places including Lalchadra Jama Masjid, Bhairavnagar Jama Masjid, Gulalkandi Jama Masjid, Gajitila Jama Masjid and Muliyala Jama Masjid. The people present in these meetings described the Dalgram incident as against the democratic environment and extremely condemnable.
Speakers alleged that the attack on Krishnendu Pal’s convoy on March 31 was a tragic and condemnable incident. He demanded that the people involved in this incident should be identified soon and they should be given strict punishment. Local residents expressed sorrow and apologized to Krishnendu Pal for this incident. He also said that the minority community is with Krishnendu Pal and their support will continue in future also.
It is noteworthy that on March 31, it has been alleged that the attack took place in front of the election office of Congress near Dalgram Railway Gate while returning after an election meeting in Dalgram of Kazirbazar-Paldahar GP of the district. BJP Yuva Morcha President Shankar Devnath has been injured in this incident.
