LHQ vs MS: Rain disrupted the match, still big win for Lahore Qalandars, crushing defeat for Multan Sultans

Pakistan Super League 2026: In the 11th match of Pakistan Super League 2026, the teams of Lahore Qalandars and Multan Sultans were face to face. This match was played in Lahore, but due to rain the match was reduced to 13-13 overs. After winning the toss, Multan Sultans decided to bowl first, but their decision proved costly for the team. Lahore Qalandars batted explosively and scored big and ultimately won by 20 runs.

Lahore Qalandar made a huge score

The team of Lahore Qalandars, who came to bat first, got a great start. Opener Mohammad Naeem batted in a fast manner and scored 60 runs in 28 balls. His innings included 4 fours and 4 sixes. His partner Parvez Hussain Imon also played aggressively and scored 45 runs in just 19 balls, which included 2 fours and 5 sixes.

Abdullah Shafiq also batted fast in the middle order and added 33 runs in 14 balls. In the end Sikandar Raza played a short but useful innings and scored 13 runs. On the basis of these brilliant innings, Lahore Qalandars scored a huge score of 185 runs at the loss of 5 wickets in 13 overs. For Multan Sultans, Mohammad Ismail took 2 wickets, while Peter Siddle and Faisal Akram got 1 wicket each.

Multan Sultans’ attempt failed

Chasing the target of 186 runs, Multan Sultans did not have a good start. Captain Steve Smith was out after scoring only 9 runs, while wicketkeeper Josh Philip could score only 1 run. Sahibzada Farhan scored 24 runs, but could not give a strong start to the team. After this, Shan Masood gave hope by playing a quick inning of 44 runs in 18 balls. In the end, Ashton Turner tried to make the match exciting by scoring unbeaten 52 runs in 22 balls, while Arafat Minhas also added 25 runs. Despite this, Multan Sultans team could score only 165 runs after losing 5 wickets in 13 overs and lost the match by 20 runs.

Lahore’s bowling was also effective

The bowlers also played an important role for Lahore Qalandar. Mustafizur Rahman bowled brilliantly and took 2 wickets. Whereas Shaheen Shah Afridi and Ubaid Shah got 1 wicket each. Lahore won the match by giving a balanced performance in batting as well as bowling.
