Suryakumar Yadav’s knock Guides Mumbai Indians to 162 Against Delhi Capitals

A solid knock from Suryakumar Yadav has set up the Mumbai Indians to score 162 runs during the IPL 2026 game against the Delhi Capitals.

His 51 runs off 36 deliveries had been crucial in Mumbai Indians to post a decent score in Saturday’s clash.

After being invited to bat first, Ryan Rickelton and Rohit Sharma opened the innings while Mukesh Kumar opened the bowling attack.

Mukesh Kumar bagged the wickets of Ryan Rickelton and Tilak Varma for 9 and 0 respectively and with Rohit Sharma-Suryakumar Yadav at crease, Mumbai Indians scored 41 runs in the powerplay.

Axar Patel bagged with wicket of Rohit Sharma for 35 runs in the 3rd ball of the 10th over. He was sent out on a slow wide off delivery which he shot toward Ntish Rana at cover.

With Vipraj Nigam picking the wicket of Sherfane Rutherford for 5 runs, Naman Dhir and Suryakumar Yadav forged a little partnership.

Suryakumar Yadav who smashed his fifty got dismissed for 51 runs on for LBW on a delivery from Lungi Ngidi.

Naman Dhir was sent back to dug out for 28 runs and with Mitchell Santner and Corbin Bosch at crease, Mumbai Indians scored 162 runs in their 20 over innings.

Mukesh Kumar bagged two wickets while Lungi Ngidi, Axar Patel, Vipraj Nigam and T Natrajan bagged one wicket each.

Delhi Capitals will have to score 163 runs in their innings to secure a win against mighty Indians.
