New Delhi: The weather pattern appears to have undergone a significant shift, ranging from the plains to the mountains. Across Western UP, Delhi-NCR, and various other regions, the day witnessed intermittent sunshine accompanied by the movement of clouds. Temperatures also continued to fluctuate. Starting tomorrow—April 5th—there is a growing possibility that rain-bearing clouds will once again hover over several states.

Rainfall may also be recorded amid accompanying storms and gusty winds. The situation could turn precarious once again due to the active influence of a Western Disturbance. The weather in the national capital, Delhi, and the NCR region is also expected to undergo a noticeable change. Due to the active Western Disturbance, the region is likely to remain continuously overcast. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a warning for heavy rainfall—accompanied by thunder and lightning—across several states.

Weather in Delhi-NCR to Remain Unfavourable for 4 Days

According to the Meteorological Department, the weather in Delhi-NCR is expected to remain quite adverse until April 8th. This situation is raising concerns among both the general public and the farming community. According to the IMD, an alert has been issued indicating that the weather is likely to remain relatively clear on April 5th and 6th. During this period, temperatures are projected to reach between 32 and 33 degrees Celsius.

Despite this, there is a possibility of partly cloudy skies returning on April 7th and 8th. Furthermore, these conditions could be accompanied by rainfall, thunder, and lightning. There are also apprehensions that farmers may suffer significant economic losses.

Weather in UP and Bihar

The IMD has also forecast that adverse weather conditions will persist in the states of Uttar Pradesh and Bihar. The department has predicted the likelihood of heavy rainfall—accompanied by storms, gusty winds, and thunder—in various districts, including the UP capital, Lucknow, as well as Saharanpur, Muzaffarnagar, Aligarh, Bulandshahr, Firozabad, Mahoba, Jhansi, Jalaun, Mahamayanagar, Hamirpur, Hardoi, and Kanpur. According to the Meteorological Department, regarding Bihar, a warning for light to heavy rainfall has been issued for Patna, West Champaran, East Champaran, Bhojpur, Gaya, Rohtas, Kaimur, and Aurangabad.

Weather in Rajasthan

According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of rainfall in several areas across the Bikaner, Jodhpur, Jaipur, Ajmer, Bharatpur, Kota, and Udaipur divisions. Winds gusting at speeds of 40 to 50 kilometers per hour may also blow in these regions. The IMD has also issued an alert for isolated hailstorms in several parts. Furthermore, heavy rainfall accompanied by severe storms is expected in various parts of the Udaipur, Ajmer, Kota, Jaipur, and Bharatpur divisions, as well as the Shekhawati region. Meanwhile, weather activity is expected to subside slightly on April 5 and 6.

Rainfall Expected in Himachal Pradesh

According to the Meteorological Department, on the evening of April 5, thunderstorms accompanied by lightning strikes are expected in the plains—specifically in Una, Bilaspur, and Hamirpur—as well as in the mid-hill districts (Kangra, Mandi, Kullu, and Shimla). Heavy rainfall is anticipated in these areas until April 7. There is also a possibility of another Western Disturbance arriving on April 8. Light to moderate rainfall is forecast for several regions on April 8.
