Before the match against Delhi, Suryakumar Yadav had played only 2 matches under the captaincy of Mumbai and could not perform well with the bat. In these, he got a chance to bat in 26 innings, in which he scored 458 runs at an average of 21.8. However, these innings do not include a single half-century, which remains a matter of concern for him.
