Renault Duster Techno Variant Reaches Dealerships: What It Offers [Video]
Renault launched the new Duster at an attractive starting price of Rs 10.49 lakh, ex-showroom. It is available in Authentic, Evolution, Techno, Techno+, and Iconic variants. We already know what the base and the top-end variants of the Duster offer. However, we often overlook the mid-spec variants. Here, we have a video that shows the Techno variant of the Duster. In this video, the vlogger highlights all the features that this variant offers at Rs 15.9 lakh, ex-showroom.
The video has been shared by Vinod Saini on his YouTube channel. The car seen in the video is the Duster Techno variant, finished in gloss black with the turbo petrol engine and DCT gearbox combination. The Techno variant is available with both 1.0-litre turbo and 1.3-litre turbo petrol engines. The one seen here is the 1.3-litre version.
The vlogger starts with the exterior design. The black shade of the Duster looks extremely good, and it comes with the Duster moniker on the front grille, sleek LED headlamps, faux skid plates, fog lamps, and air curtains on the bumper. The muscular look of the SUV is retained; however, when compared to the higher variant, it misses out on ADAS and a 360-degree camera.
Coming to the side profile, the SUV retains its boxy design, and we also see black roof rails and a shark-fin antenna. The alloy wheel design looks slightly different from the top-end variant and is finished in a gunmetal grey shade. It is a 17-inch unit, and we also see body-coloured door handles, a Duster badge on the front door, LED turn indicators, and thick cladding around the wheel arches.
At the rear, the Duster Techno variant offers LED tail lamps with a connecting LED bar, an electric tailgate, and the usual 700 litres of boot space. It, however, misses out on a spare wheel and instead comes with a puncture repair kit.
On the inside, the Techno variant of the Duster comes with dual-tone interiors and fabric upholstery. It offers a decent number of features like all four power windows, electrically adjustable and foldable ORVMs, remote central locking, a smaller digital instrument cluster, and a large 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, although it does not offer built-in Google features.
The SUV also offers automatic climate control, a panoramic sunroof, cruise control, an adjustable steering wheel, a driver armrest with fabric upholstery, storage spaces and cup holders on the centre console, an electronic parking brake, traction control, six airbags, paddle shifters, auto headlamps, a push start/stop button, Type-C USB ports, 12V chargers, a wireless phone charger, rear AC vents, and more.
The engine in this particular car is the 1.3-litre turbocharged petrol unit, which generates 163 PS and 280 Nm of peak torque. This engine comes with manual and 6-speed DCT gearbox options. It is one of the most powerful engines in this segment, and based on the video, it feels like the Techno variant of the Duster is actually a value-for-money product.
