Tushar Deshpande became the hero of Rajasthan Royals’ victory in a breath-taking match, defeated Gujarat Titans by 6 runs.

GT vs RR: The 9th match of IPL 2026 was very exciting. In a breath-taking match, Rajasthan Royals defeated Gujarat Titans by 6 runs. Rashid Khan and Kagiso Rabada fought till the last ball to give victory to Gujarat Titans, but Rajasthan Royals fast bowler Tushar Deshpande overpowered them. Tushar Deshpande saved 10 runs in the last over. While Rabada and Rashid were playing stormy innings. While chasing the target of 211 runs given by Rajasthan Royals, Gujarat Titans could only score 204 runs for 8 wickets.

Gujarat Titans had a good start

Gujarat Titans had a great start in reply to the 211 runs given by Rajasthan Royals. Sai Sudarshan and Kumar Kushagra gave a fast start to the team. Both of them had scored 78 runs in 8 overs without losing any wicket, but then after this the process of wickets of Gujarat Titans started falling and GT GT lost 7 wickets within 83 runs.

Sai Sudarshan played 73 runs

Rajasthan Royals captain Riyan Parag gave the first blow to Gujarat Titans by dismissing Kumar Kushagra on the score of 18 runs. After this, Ravi Bishnoi sent Sai Sudarshan to the pavilion. Sudarshan was out after scoring 73 runs, then Ravi Bishwoi gave 2 big blows to Gujarat Titans in the 13th over. First he dismissed Glenn Phillips on the score of 3 runs, then sent Washington Sundar to the pavilion on the score of 4 runs.

After this, Rajasthan Royals got the fifth blow in the form of Jos Buttler. Nandre Berger showed him the way to the pavilion. Butler scored 26 runs on 14 balls. Ravi Bishnoi gave the sixth blow to GT by dismissing Rahul Tewatia for 12 runs, then in the same over Shahrukh Khan was run out after scoring 11 runs. After the fall of 7 wickets at the score of 161 runs, Rashid Khan and Kagiso Rabada took over the innings and started batting stormy and raised the hopes of Gujarat’s victory.

Gujarat Titans had to score only 10 runs in 6 balls to win in the last over. Rajasthan Royals captain Ryan Parag handed the ball to Tushar Deshpande, there were Rashid Khan and Kagiso Rabada in front who were set, but Tushar Deshpande bowled the best bowling of his IPL career in the last over and led Rajasthan Royals to victory. Tushar gave only 4 runs and took one wicket. In this way Rajasthan defeated Gujarat by 6 runs in a thrilling match. Ravi Bishnoi also played an important role in this victory of RR. Bishnoi took 4 wickets for 41 runs in his 4 over spell.

Rajasthan Royals won the toss and batted first and scored 210 runs for 6 wickets. For RR, Dhruv Jurel played the highest innings of 75 runs in 42 balls. During this, 5 fours and 5 sixes came from his bat. Yashasvi Jaiswal scored 55 runs on 36 balls, which included 6 fours and 3 sixes. Vaibhav Suryavanshi contributed 30 runs on 18 balls. There itself Kagiso Rabada took 2 wickets for Gujarat Titans. Mohammad Siraj, Ashok Sharma, Prasidh Krishna and Rashid Khan got 1 success each.
