In a thrilling match, Rajasthan Royals defeated Gujarat Titans by 6 runs, Tushar Deshpande’s wonder in the 20th over.

GT vs RR IPL 2026 9th Match Highlight: The 9th match of IPL 2026 was played between Gujarat Titans and Rajasthan Royals at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. In this match, Rajasthan Royals batted first and scored 210 runs. In response, Gujarat Titans team could score 204 runs in 20 overs at the loss of 8 wickets. Accordingly, Rajasthan Royals won this exciting match by 6 runs. Two bowlers were the heroes of this thrilling victory for Rajasthan Royals. Yes, in this match Ravi Bishnoi and finally Tushar Deshpande played an important role in the victory of Rajasthan.

Tushar Deshpande showed amazing performance in the 20th over.

For Rajasthan Royals, the main hero of their victory in this match was bowler Tushar Deshpande. Actually, Gujarat Titans needed 11 runs in the last over to win. In front were captain Rashid Khan and Kagiso Rabada. Both these players were batting brilliantly. In such a situation, it seemed that GT would easily win this match, but Tushar Deshpande dismissed Rashid Khan in the 20th over and gave away only 4 runs, snatching this match from Gujarat Titans and giving it to Rajasthan Royals.

Ravi Bishnoi took 4 wickets

Before Tushat Deshpande, spin bowler Ravi Bishnoi performed brilliantly. He dismissed four batsmen for Gujarat Titans in difficult times. Bishnoi dismissed Gujarat’s explosive batsman Sai Sudarshan on the score of 73 runs. After this he sent Washington Sundar, Glenn Phillips and Rahul Tewatia to the pavilion. Apart from this, captain Riyan Parag and Nandre Berger also got 1-1 wicket.

Sai Suresh’s innings went in vain

Against Rajasthan Royals, Gujarat opener Sai Sudarshan played an explosive inning of 73 runs facing 44 balls. But his innings could not bring victory to Gujarat Titans. Apart from this, Jos Buttler scored 26 runs, Kumar Kushagra scored 18 runs and Rahul Tewatia scored 12 runs. In the end captain Rashid Khan scored 24 runs and Kagiso Rabada scored 23 runs.

Jaiswal and Dhruv Jurel played half-century innings for RR.

For Rajasthan Royals, opener Vaibhav Suryavanshi scored 31 runs in 18 balls and shared a 70-run partnership with Yashasvi Jaiswal for the first wicket. During the powerplay, Rajasthan scored 69 runs without losing any wicket, which gave the team a strong base. Yashasvi Jaiswal also batted brilliantly and scored 55 runs in 36 balls. However, captain Riyan Parag could not last long and was out after scoring only 8 runs.

In the middle order, Shimron Hetmyer scored a quick 18 runs, while Donovan Ferreira could score only 1 run. After this, Dhruv Jurel took the responsibility and played an excellent inning of 75 runs in 42 balls, due to which the team’s score crossed 200. In the end Ravindra Jadeja returned unbeaten after scoring 7 runs. Kagiso Rabada took 2 wickets for Gujarat Titans. Apart from this, Mohammad Siraj, Prasidh Krishna, Ashok Sharma and captain Rashid Khan got 1 wicket each.
