Mamta directly challenged Prime Minister Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah and said that the countdown for BJP has started. Mamta Banerjee, while addressing the crowd gathered at the meeting, said that remember, the BJP government of Delhi will fall in 2026. They think that they will scare Bengal, but they are mistaken. They are targeting Bengal, but now we will target Delhi. Be fully prepared for this in the coming days. Change in Delhi will begin from the land of Bengal itself.
This statement of Mamta Banerjee has come at a time when BJP has put all its strength in Bengal. The Chief Minister taunted and said that BJP leaders come to Bengal only during elections and make statements without understanding the culture here. He said that targeting Bengal will be costly for BJP, because now TMC is going to increase its activism in Delhi politics.
In the West Bengal Assembly elections, the ruling Trinamool Congress (TMC) has demanded the removal of the Returning Officer (RO) of Bhawanipur Assembly seat. The party alleges that RO has close relations with Shuvendu Adhikari, which raises questions on the fairness of the elections. This demand was made in a memorandum submitted to the state’s Chief Electoral Officer Manoj Kumar Aggarwal. TMC says that the RO was earlier posted in Nandigram-2, where he was seen close to Subhendu Adhikari in public programs. Subhendu Adhikari is contesting from Bhawanipur seat against Mamata Banerjee. TMC alleges that such an appointment could affect the fairness of the election process and should be changed immediately.
