Sameer Rizvi Record Against Mumbai Indians: 22 year old Sameer Rizvi registered his name in the record book on Saturday 4th April. He made the second highest score by an uncapped batsman in the history of IPL against Mumbai Indians. In the 8th match of IPL 2026, which was played between Delhi Capitals and Mumbai Indians at the Ferozshah Kotla ground in Delhi on Saturday, Rizvi scored 90 runs in just 51 balls while chasing the target of 163 runs for the Delhi team.

Till now only one uncapped batsman – Yashasvi Jaiswal has managed to score a century against MI. This left-handed batsman scored 124 runs in 62 balls for Rajasthan Royals against Mumbai at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on April 30, 2023. Jaiswal, who has now played for India in all three formats of the game, was an uncapped player at that time. He made his debut for India against West Indies in July 2023.

The record of scoring the highest score for DC against Mumbai in an IPL match is in the name of Virender Sehwag. Sehwag played an unbeaten inning of 95 runs in 57 balls against Mumbai Indians in Delhi on April 21, 2013. After him comes England’s Jason Roy, who scored 91 runs in just 53 balls on April 14, 2018 at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.

The overall record of making the highest individual score against Mumbai Indians in IPL is in the name of South Africa’s AB de Villiers. ‘Mr 360 Degree’ scored 133 runs (not out) in just 59 balls for RCB at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on May 10, 2015.
