‘Your son is safer with us than Trump…’, why did Iran give such an answer to the mother of the missing American pilot?
Middle East War: The war in West Asia has now reached a very dangerous point. On Friday, April 3, 2026, Iran shot down two US military aircraft in two separate military actions. In this incident, one crew member has been saved, but the other pilot is still missing. This incident has not only increased the tension between America and Iran, but has now also included a ‘war of words’.
Iran’s embassies reacted sharply
The most shocking turn in this entire matter came when Iran’s embassies in Pakistan and South Africa gave a sharp reaction on social media, directly addressing the mother of the missing pilot. In fact, the mother of one of the missing pilots had prayed for the safety of her son, in response to which the Iranian embassies have taken a dig at US President Donald Trump and the governance system there.
‘More danger in Trump rule, respect in Iran’
The Iranian Embassy in Pakistan wrote on its official ‘X’ (Twitter) handle that the mother should understand that her son is safer in Iran’s custody. “Be assured that your sons are in greater danger with Trump than in Iranian custody. Pray that they are held captive by Iran rather than being discovered by US rescue teams. As Muslims and civilized Iranians, we know how to treat detainees with dignity and respect,” the embassy wrote.
‘We don’t live in the Stone Age like America’
Iran’s attitude did not stop here. The Iranian Embassy in South Africa also targeted the US and its allies, saying that humanitarian laws have been followed in Iran for centuries. The embassy wrote, “The rights of prisoners of war in Iran were defined at a time when there was no human rights in the world. We do not treat our prisoners with the same barbarity that your allies the Zionists (Israel) do. We have a great Iranian civilization, we do not live in the Stone Age (Stone Age) like America.”
Why did this controversy start?
The root of this entire controversy was an emotional post by the pilot’s mother. Troubled by not getting any news about her son, the mother had appealed to people on social media for prayers. He wrote, “Tonight please pray for the 2 F-15 pilots who were shot down. One of my sons is a fighter pilot and I have yet to hear from him or his unit. My heart is heavy with worry. Please pray for all the pilots and their families.” Iran has issued this controversial statement setting its political narrative on this mother’s loving call.
