‘Stop the business of lies’, PM Modi shuts down the opposition by naming these 3 films, know the important things about the Kerala rally

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi, while addressing a huge election rally held in Thiruvalla, Kerala on Saturday, April 4, has made his sharpest attack so far on the Congress and the opposition alliance. The PM simply alleged that in today’s times the only agenda of the opposition is to run a ‘shop of lies’ in the country and mislead the general public. He said that instead of doing politics of development, the opposition is busy spreading negativity.

Attack on opposition’s ‘narrative’ in the name of films

In his address, PM Modi specifically mentioned the famous films of recent years ‘Dhurandhar’, ‘The Kerala Story’ and ‘The Kashmir Files’. He said that whenever a film brings the bitter truth of the country on screen, the opposition parties immediately start raising noise by calling it a ‘lie’. According to the Prime Minister, be it the injustice done to Kashmiri Pandits or the painful stories of the daughters of Kerala, the opposition has always tried to set a false narrative to suppress the truth so that their politics can continue.

Answer to rumors spread on CAA and UCC

Going further, PM Modi said that Congress and its allies have worked to create fear in the minds of the people not only in the matter of films but also regarding important laws of the country. Giving the example of the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA), he reminded how an atmosphere of confusion and fear was created in the entire country regarding it, whereas today this law is in force and no citizen has suffered any harm due to it. Similarly, he also fiercely attacked the opposition on Uniform Civil Code (UCC). The PM argued that UCC has been successfully implemented in Goa for decades without any controversy, yet opposition parties are spreading fear over it across the country. He bluntly said that the opposition is now only doing the ‘business of spreading lies’.

PM’s blunt advice on opposing nationalism

During the rally, the Prime Minister made an emotional appeal to the public that they should not be misled by these political parties. He expressed confidence that today’s citizen and cinema viewer has become quite intelligent. People very well understand the difference between the reality shown in films and the hollow promises of leaders. The PM stressed that opposing films like ‘Dhurandhar’, which are based on nationalism and national security, is actually opposing the strength of India. He advised the opposition in a warning tone to stop misleading the country to shine their politics, because now the public has recognized their reality.
