Sameer Rizvi Record: In IPL 2026 Delhi Capitals Young batsman Sameer Rizvi has registered his name in the special club by playing a stormy innings of 90 runs against Mumbai Indians. During this, he created history by leaving behind Indian star batsman Shreyas Iyer.

In the eighth match of IPL 2026, in the match played between Delhi Capitals and Mumbai Indians, 22-year-old young batsman Sameer Rizvi created history by batting brilliantly. Chasing the target of 163 runs, Rizvi played a strong inning of 90 runs in 51 balls with the help of 7 fours and 7 sixes and played an important role in the team’s victory.

On the basis of this inning, Sameer Rizvi has reached second place in the list of uncapped players who have made the highest score against Mumbai Indians in IPL. In this list, only Indian opener Yashasvi Jaiswal is above him, who had played an inning of 124 runs in 2023.

With his innings, Rizvi left behind Shreyas Iyer, who had scored 83 runs against Mumbai Indians in 2015. Apart from this, Shaun Marsh (81 runs) and Sanju Samson (76 runs) are also included in this list, but Rizvi has now gone ahead of them.

In reply, Delhi Capitals achieved the target in 18.1 overs with the help of Sameer Rizvi’s match-winning innings of 90 runs and Pathum Nissanka’s 44 runs.
