IPL 2026: Delhi Capitals won the toss, decided to bowl

New Delhi: Delhi Capitals won the toss and decided to bowl first against Mumbai Indians in the eighth match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 on Saturday. Today here, Delhi Capitals captain Akshar Patel won the toss and decided to bowl first.

After the toss, Akshar said, this is our first match at home, we want to see how the pitch plays. There is no change in the team. Suryakumar Yadav, who is captaining Mumbai Indians in place of Hardik Pandya, said (Hardik) is not well. Today I am captaining in his place. There is a lot of positivity in the game. We wanted to bat first. The pitch is looking good. He said that there are three changes in the team, Deepak Chahar, Bosch and Santner are playing in today’s match.

Delhi Capitals (XI):- KL Rahul (wicketkeeper), Pathum Nissanka, Nitish Rana, Vipraj Nigam, Axar Patel (captain), David Miller, Tristan Stubbs, Kuldeep Yadav, Lungi Ngidi, T Natarajan and Mukesh Kumar.

Mumbai Indians (XI):- Rohit Sharma, Ryan Rickleton (wk), Tilak Verma, Suryakumar Yadav (c), Naman Dheer, Sherfane Rutherford, Mitchell Santner, Corbin Bosch, Shardul Thakur, Deepak Chahar, and Jasprit Bumrah.
