Jabalpur: Hooliganism in the name of recovery agency, fatal attack on two brothers
Jabalpur. Two real brothers, Saket Chakraborty and Vikas Chakraborty, living in Sindhi Camp area under Vijaynagar police station area in Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh, were attacked by miscreants allegedly associated with the recovery agency.
The incident is said to have taken place on Saturday afternoon. According to eyewitnesses, some people suddenly arrived at the spot and without any argument attacked the two brothers.
The attackers beat them brutally, due to which both of them got seriously injured and fell on the ground. After the incident, the accused fled from the spot, causing chaos in the area.
The local people showed courage and immediately took the injured to the nearby Sheetal Chhaya Hospital, where their treatment is going on. According to doctors, the condition of both of them remains critical and they have suffered serious injuries at many places on their bodies.
As soon as the information was received, Vijayanagar police station reached the spot and started investigation. On the complaint of the victim’s family, a case has been registered against unknown accused.
In the initial investigation, the matter is being said to be related to some financial dispute or transaction related to the recovery agency, although the police is investigating all aspects.
There is an atmosphere of panic in the area after the incident. Local people have demanded increased security and early arrest of the accused.
Police say that CCTV footage installed nearby is being scrutinized and soon the accused will be identified and arrested. Strict action has also been assured against the culprits.
